"Designed by David Esslemont and printed by him on a Heidelberg cylinder with the assistance of Hugh Willmer. The typeface is Monotype Bembo machine-set by the Moouldtype Foundry and Horsfall & Sons (Startype)... The paper is acid-free Archive Bookend Cartridge. The edition is limited to nine hundred numbered copies as follows: twenty-five copies in a special binding, numbered i-xxv; seven hundred and fifty-five copies in stiff card covers, numbered 1-755; one hundred copies bound in quarter leather ... numbered 756-855; and twenty copies unbound, numbered 856-875. Copy no [in ms] 222"--Colophon. Bound in maroon, stiff card covers with grey card dust-jacket. Illustrations tipped in.
