Two hundred and fifty copies of Hobbes's Whale have been printed by the Boase Press, 8 Russell Place, Monmouth, Gwent in Monotype Ehrhardt on Zerkall mould-made paper with Ehrhardt and Grotesque for display ... copies 1-50 are hardbound in a slipcase accompanied by signed proofs of the engravings; copies 51-250 are in wrappers and and additional twenty-six 26 copies similarly wrapped and lettered A-Z have been produced for presentation. This is copy [in ms] 3" Signed by John Gohorry and Simon Brett. Volume accompanied by 3 leaves of proofs of the engravings, each signed by Simon Brett. Quarter bound in blue cloth with tan cloth sides over boards. Paper label on spine (book title) and front cover (with engraving). Additional engravings in card folder. Issued in slipcase (tan cloth over boards).
