"The text of this book was compiled from material submitted in term papers in a course in the Graphic Arts. The etching, engraving, aquatint and lithographic prints were made from examples by various masters in a study of their style and technique by Richard A. Kaseler, David B. Clemens, Paul R. Levine, Jeffrey G. Williamson who also set the type and wrestled with the three printing processes on hand presses. Twenty-five copies were made. Russell T. Limbach May 1957"--Colophon
