"This edition consists of two thousand two hundred and fifty copies of which fifteen hundred, numbered 1 through 1500, have been made for distribution to members of The Limited Editions Club, and seven hundred and fifty, numbered 1501 through 2250, for distribution outside the Club. The composition and printing have been done by Clarke & Way of New York and The Press of A. Colish of Mount Vernon, New York. The principal printers of the special material have been Crafton Graphic Company, New York; W.S. Cowell Ltd., Ipswich, England; The Curwen Press, London; George C. Miller, Photogravure and Color Company, and Walter Fischer, all of New York. The printing has been done on Archer white, specially made for this edition by the Curtis Paper Company of Delaware; and the binding has been done by Frank D. Fortney of the Russell-Rutter Company in New York. This volume has been designed by Robert L. Dothard. This is copy number 1684"--Colophon. Fully bound in red leather; black leather gold-stamped spine label and black embossed LEC device on front cover.
