"The edition is limited to 1000 copies printed in Perpetua type on British mould-made paper." Volume 1 is numbered 564 and volume 2 is unnumbered, probably belonging to a second printing of 35 unnumbered copies. Illustrations: Vol I: 106 reproductions of drawings etc. and 2 maps; Vol II: 60 reproductions. Paper: Portals paper; watermarked: LAVERSTOKE. Both volumes half bound in red morocco, with white cloth sides; top edges gilt. Bound by S [angorski] & S [utcliffe] London.
