Of this edition 1475 copies have been printed on Van Gelder paper for sale in England and America ... the pictures have been reproduced from Botticelli's drawings ... in Berlin and Rome. The text has been printed by the Westminster Press in Poliphilus Roman Capital letters and Blado Italic small letters: the pictures have been printed by Danile Jacomet."--Colophon. Museum has copy number 1435. Provenance: bequeathed to Cambridge University by Sir H.F. Herbert Thompson, 2nd Baronet, of Trinity College. 26 May 1944. Old classmark: 740. Binding: orange vellum, with ornament in centre of boards, border and lettering on spine in gilt; top edge of pages gilt, other sides untrimmed.
