"This book was printed by Robert and Moira Gibbings at the Golden Cockerel Press at Waltham Saint Lawrence in Berkshire. Begun on the 20th of February, 1931, it was completed on the 28th October in the same year. Compositors: F. Young and A. H. Gibbs. Pressman: A. C. Cooper. 500 copies have been printed, of which numbers 1-12 are on vellum..."--Colophon. Museum has copy no. 96

Bound in toned calf vellum; tooled in gold, with black ink brush lettering on the spine. Inside of the boards edged with brown morocco; brown Japanese handmade end papers with individually marbled motifs. Designed and tooled by Joan Tebbutt and S. M. Cockerell - monogrammed and dated "19 J SC T 79". Edge of pages gilt.
