Diples

Scope note

Any of a group of pipes or sets of pipes, usually consisting of a single piece of wood with two narrow cylindrical bores each having an idioglot single reed, less often of two pipes inserted into a common stock which holds the reeds. Some terminate in bells or are attached to bags.
