Description

Cover embroidered with brown, cream and red silks in cross, double running and hem stitch. All around the edge of the cover, the hem is covered with buttonhole stitch worked solidly in brown. Within this a border formed by repeats of cross-shapes is worked. Similar bands divide the cover into eight vertical sections each filled by a band of repeat patterns formed by a leaf and tendril on a red background
