9 Carat gold in the form of the 'Royal Tara Brooch' (but not exactly) with a hinged pin and curled hook fastening attached to the back (the pin forming part of the brooch does not move).


History note: The brooch belonged to the donor's grandmother, Frances Ball (née Steele), whose family lived in Dublin.
