Tortoise-shell with miniature of fruit and a vase of flowers on a marble slab

Tortoise-shell set with a miniature in bodycolour and watercolour on card, mounted under glass in gilt metal. The circular box has slightly concave sides and an almost flat pull-off lid. The circular miniature depicts a stone vase of flowers including roses, delphiniums, auriculas and lilac, alongside a pineapple, three peaches and a bunch of grapes, on a marble slab.
