Tortoise-shell with oval miniature of a basket of pink roses
Tortoise-shell set with a miniature in bodycolour on card, mounted under glass in gilt metal. The circular box has straight sides with silver-gilt rim mounts to the almost flat pull-off lid. The small oval miniature depicts a wicker basket of pink roses on a marble slab, and is surrounted by a mount and border of reeded gilt metal.
