Boxwood and tortoise-shell set with a miniature in bodycolour on card, mounted under glass in gilt metal. The circular box has dark stained moulded borders to the lid, rim and base, and straight sides. The flat lid pulls off. The interior of the base is lined in tortoiseshell. The circular miniature depicts a posy of pink of roses tied with red ribbon, on a grey ground
