Gold box set with panels of brown aventurine feldspar
Gold, aventurine feldspar and enamel; rectangular with cut corners and straight sides and hinged flat lid. The gold cagework box is set with ten panels (eight round the sides and one in the lid and base) of brown aventurine flecked with gold. Round the lid, the recessed base and at the top and bottom of the sides the gold mounts are engraved with a guilloche pattern border enamelled in green with white dots. The side mounts are embossed and chased to resemble pillasters.
