Desk seal with three sided smoky quartz swivel sealstone and facetted handle with chased gold mounts
Carved smoky quartz with chased gold mounts. The three sided swivel sealstone with intaglio (1) initials 'AG' in Gothic characters, (2) coat-of-arms of the Grundy family, and (3) a stack of sealed letters, the topmost inscribed 'Souvenir' in script, with a spray of forget-me-nots. Twelve-sided handle broadening towards the rounded faceted terminal. The mount decorated with a border of flowers and leaves on a matted ground.
