Description

Desk seal with chalcedony sealstone in a flask shaped gold mount enamelled in blue

Carved chalcedony in gold mount enamelled in translucent royal blue over an engraved ground. Circular chalcedony sealstone engraved 'Dissy' in reverse. The flask shaped mount with wide bulbous body and long neck is chased with scrolls and enamelled with strapwork, birds and flowers. The low domed pull-off lid is attached by a chain.
