Copper, gilt metal and enamel; the flask-shaped bottle is enamelled with two miniatures on a white ground
Copper, gilt metal and enamel; the baluster-shaped bottle is oval in section narrowing to a circular section neck. It has a gilt metal rim mount and pull-off gilt metal stopper with cast openwork handle on a chain. The sides and base of the bottle are enamelled with a white ground with two miniatures within gilt scrolling borders and pink enamelled diaper-work and geometric patterns. The miniature on the front depicts the head and shoulders of a young woman; she has pearls in her hair and a pearl earring; her dress is of dark yellow with a blue bow, and she has a deep pink shawl over her shoulders. The miniature on the back is of flowers on a white ground.
