Description

Copper, engraved, champlevé enamelled, and gilt. Triangular. Decorated with a wing, two four-pointed stars and a disc reserved in a horizontally striated background

History note: Holingworth Magniac, Colworth, Bedfordshire; sold Christie’s, 2, 4-8 and 11-15 July 1892, Catalogue of the renowned collection of works of art chiefly formed by the late Hollingworth Magniac Esq. (known as the Colworth Collection), 3th Day, 5 July, p. 79, part of lot 250B, the whole sold for £18.18.0 to Frank McClean, Tonbridge Wells.
