Formed of two blackbuck (nilgau) horns fitted with steel tips, with square section points and spiral fluted sockets inlaid with copper alloy bands, and copper alloy terminals through which the horns are joined with iron rods. To the junction of the two horns is riveted a small steel shield with four decorative copper alloy bosses decorated with spirals and petalled borders, and an applied copper alloy borderd decorated with punched circles. There are fragments of vermillion and viridian green on the horns. Part of the shiled border is missing, and the steel is pitted but polished bright.

This is a parrying weapon, held in the left hand when fighting with a sword in the right. It is made from a central shield with two blackbuck (nilgau) horns tipped with iron points.
