Description

Silver-gilt; lobed columbine-shaped cup and cover on stem formed as a man climbing a tree

Silver-gilt; the spreading circular foot is embossed with a ring of lobes chased with flowers round the central dome, which supports the stem in the shape of a man climbing a creeper round a tree trunk. The columbine-shaped bowl is waisted and heavily embossed with lobes in a band round the rim, and near the base. The lobes are embossed with flowers, including carnations, tulips and daffodils. The similarly decorated cover is surmounted by a silver finial formed as a bunch of flowers.
