Description

Silver-gilt; highly domed foot and gourd-shaped bowl embossed and chased with strapwork, pavillions, swags, fruit and flowers.

Silver-gilt, embossed, chased, and matted. The circular foot is stepped and highly domed in the centre. It supports a waisted ovoid knop with three applied phoenix-headed scrolls holding pendants. The foot and knop are embossed and chased with borders of shells, strapwork, fruit and foliage. The bowl, in the shape of a waisted gourd, is embossed and chased with strapwork, swags, pavillions and flowers on a matted ground.
