Hamon [tempering pattern]: choji midare with tobiyaki, ashi, yo, sunagashi, nie kuzure and large nijuba from the monuchi upwards

Habaki [collar]: copper clad with shakudo and with ‘windswept’ paulownia blossom in gold level inlay

Koshirae [mounting]: handachi mounting , the scabbard with longitudinal striations, metal fittings of iron with scrolling and chrysanthemums in silver, copper, and gold inlay, the menuki are each a gold cherry blossom carried on a horizontal bar, round iron tsuba with pierced comma design, inlaid brass cherry blossoms, and comma designs, most of which inlay is missing, and engraved scrolling Height 7.9, width 7.5
