Description

A woman holds a copper basket of dead poultry and points to some chestnuts, with an older female vendor at her side. On the table are some weights and scales, while behind the pair are some drying onions, eggs in a basket, dried fish hanging on a nail, and gingerbread in the shape of a stag and a militia man. To the right of the young shopper are some more dead fish, and in the background some brooms hang near the door of a house.
