Leaf from a Doge’s Commission
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 221 x 155 mm, no text on verso.
DECORATION: Full-page oval miniature with holder of commission kneeling in prayer and presented to the enthroned Christ by St Francis, with St John the Baptist as a boy to one side, surrounded by full border of gold strapwork.
