Description

Bone china, painted underglaze in blue, overglaze pale yellowish-green, pink and iron-red, and gilded. Circular withgently sloping sides, standing on a footring. The interior is decorated with a blue and gold tree, lotus flowers, and pink flowers on leavy stems. The rim is encircled by a gold band. Pattern no. 1542.

Note

Godden suggested that the stamped New Hall within two circles mark was adopted when the firm changed its name to the New Hall Porcelain Company in 1814. It is only found on bone china.
