Factory: New Hall Porcelain Factory
Hybrid hard-paste porcelain, painted with black and puce enamel, and gilded: narrow border of zig-zag leaves with gold and puce berries. Pattern no. 280.
Hybrid hard-paste porcelain, moulded, with crazed glaze, painted overglaze in black and puce enamel, and gilded. Of oval, ogee form with an applied ring handle at each end, standing on a footring. The cover is of slightly ogee form with a small oval platform and an oval pointed knob on top.The exterior of the bowl is decorated with a border comprising a black wavy stem with small trefoil leaves, puce berries, and gold trefoil leaves. The handles are gilded and there are gold bands just below the rim, and round the footring. The cover is decorated with a similar border, and with gold bands round the edge, the edge of the platform and the knob, which also has eight swirling gold lines radiating from the point
