Description

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 131 x 138 mm, four fragmentary lines of text written on alternate lines, ruled in brown ink.

CONTENTS: On reverse, fragmentary text from Ps. 137: 3-4, [ex]audi me [multiplica]bis in anima me [virtute con]fiteantur tibi [Domine omnes re]ges terre quia; the initial C probably marked the start of Ps. 137, Confitebor.

ORNAMENTATION: Ornamental initial formed by an inner band of liquid gold and outer sections of solid colour combined with dense foliage with the same motifs used in the bowl of the letter: [C] painted on a square ground of solid gold with blue foliate ornamentation.
