Historiated initial from a Choir Book
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 80 x 95 mm, one fragmentary four-line musical stave ruled in red ink and fragmentary words on reverse, obscured by cardboard to which it was pasted
DECORATION: Historiated initial formed of stylized acanthus and dolphin on gold ground with floral ornament: [N] Half-length figure of a female saint, perhaps St Helena, crowned, holding book, sceptre and a small cross.
