Description

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 62 x 128 mm, six lines of fragmentary text ruled in hard point on reverse.

ORNAMENTATION: Gold initial [P, 6 ll.] on purple ground, formed of youth’s figure (shaft) and a stem extending into a winged female torso, followed by an acanthus leaf, and terminating in a profile mask head, the youth standing on a branch with a parrot perched on it, followed by three lines of text in gold capitals with delicate gold ornament on blue and red ground, [P]ORQVE VOS M[A]NDAMOS, spaces between lines filled with palmettes on yellow ground.
