Historiated initial from a Choir Psalter
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 165 x 153 mm, five lines of text ruled in brown ink on reverse.
CONTENTS: On reverse, part of Psalm 118:9-10, [ser]mones tuos / in toto corde / meo exquisivi / te ne repellas / me a manda[tis tuis]; the initial may have introduced Psalm 118, Beati immaculati.
DECORATION: Historiated initial in pink with white floral pattern and acanthus extensions on gold ground: Psalm 118, [B, 5 ll.] David playing psaltery in a landscape.
ORNAMENTATION: Blue initial [I, 1 l.], mostly trimmed, with red pen flourishing.
