Hair ornament in gold filigree work. It has the shape of a phoenix, which is standing on a cloud with extended tail feathers and with a raised head. The body and head of the phoenix are of thick plaited gold wires soldered together like feathers. The crest is in the form of a flower shaped receptacle for a gold bead. The phoenix is holding a bead in its beak.
Beneath the cloud is a hole for fixing the bird to a head dress
