DECORATION: Half-page framed miniature accompanied by a full architectural border consisting of coloured marble pilasters and a laurel leaf frieze encased within a brick wall, with two putti seated in the foreground, one playing a viol, the other a cittern: fol. 13r Penitential Psalms, King David playing a cittern.
Two full historiated borders: fol. 28v Hours of the Passion, The empty Cross set in a landscape and flanked by two elaborate torch-holders with flaming tops and the text illusionistically suspended from them; fol. 42v Hours of the Holy Spirit, Pentecost in a landscape seen through an architectural structure framed between two marble pillars, with the text illusionistically suspended from the lintel, which shows the lower half of an epigraphic inscription, NOBIS SPIRITVS SIT (the opening words of the hymn on the same page).
Historiated initials [8 ll.] formed of acanthus on coloured grounds, accompanied by one-sided bar and acanthus borders, and enclosing landscape views for the Hours of the Virgin (fols. 84r, 87v, 90v, 93r, 100v)
ORNAMENTATION: Blue acanthus initials [4-5 ll.] with gold highlights and foliate extensions for some of the main text division (e.g. fols. 28v, 42v); brown acanthus initial [V, 4 ll.] with gold ink highlights and blue infill on pink ground for Psalm 94 in the invitatory of the Office of the Dead (fol. 49r); alternate blue and red initials [2 ll.] with pale pink or violet pen flourishing; alternate blue and red one-line initials.
