Description

Bone china, decorated with moulded reliefs reserved in a pale blue ground, painting in polychrome enamels, and gilding. Lozenge-shaped with shallow sloping sides and a flat base.The flat area inside is decorated with a Tulip and a Hyacinth edged by lozenge-shaped gold line. The sides have a raised white floral sprays reserved in a pale blue ground alternating with four polychrome enamel sprays on the angles: a purple parrot tulip, a white convolvulus, a yellow flower and small red flowers. A broad gold line runs round the edge. The base is painted in purple with ‘Tulip & Hyacinth/Spode,2004’
