Description

Architectural panel. Made from wood, carved in high relief and gilt, with painted/lacquered details, the reverse is lacquered brown with shallow gilt intaglio carving.
Depicts a 'theatrical' battle before judges in an architectural setting. Many inscribed banners. Background of mica laminae.
