Verge watch in gold and amber case.

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Tho Reynolds 115 London'. Winged balance cock with pierced and engraved table, face at neck, foot pierced and engraved. Steel balance. Slide plate pierced and engraved snake indicator, free form edge. Silver regulation dial with Arabic figures 1 to 6. Pierced fusee iron post. Blued steel case bolt, nib through dial, decorated flat foot, rectangular potance with short foot riveted to plate. Rectangular counter-potance with circular foot riveted to plate. Pillar plate with four Egyptian pillars with pierced freezes. Joint riveted to plate. Fusee and chain, tangent set-up under barrel, barrel with top lip. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise.

BRASS EDGE: Plain gilt brass with narrow engraved edge around dial recess. Two sets of dial holes.

DIAL: Gold champleve. Radial Arabic 5 minute figures on polished cushions, ladder minute ring, arrow head at quarters, radial Roman chapters. Winding hole at 3.15. Repousse centre disc with cartuche engraved 'Reynolds' above centre, banner just below centre engraved 'LON' and 'DON', mask below.

HANDS: Blued steel beetle and poker.

CASE: Gold, enamel and agate. Plain gold bezel. Six-sided body, front and back set with agate and tigerite stones in gold bars; gold bars red compared to enamelled gold. Twenty-one stones on each face. Front with two red translucent enamel panels above bezel, back plain gold around and above glass to view movement, scratched '254 C -/A/AC'. Edge narrow translucent red enamel on gold strips pinned to case through the enamel. Gold with red and black enamel round drop, of oval section, with smaller gold drop. Pendant gold, wide and oval section, with red black and blue enamel decoration, wide stirrup bow also chased and enamelled. Top of pendant not square to stem, press piece at top of pendant not functional.

Too large and angular for the pocket, possibly made for the Oriental market.
