Verge watch in gold case set with pearls.

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement, not named, cuvette engraved 'Andrews CORNHILL LONDON No 1803'. Balance cock, wedge shaped, engraved regulation scale with 'S' and 'F' at ends, polished steel regulator, blued steel end piece secured by two screws, diamond end stone, engraved wedge shaped foot. Polished steel balance. Plate engraved all over with floral design. Rectangular fusee iron foot. Potance with foot with moulding at end. Rectangular counter-potance. Pillar plate with four turned pillars having plan centres with ring and dome at pillar plate end and cone at the other end. Third wheel bar. Under dial flat with shallow chamfered edge, set-up ratchet, stamped '1803'. Minute wheel pinned. Fusee and chain, barrel with one lip, set-up click under dial. Verge escapement. Train planted clockwise.

DIAL: White enamel on convex copper, counter enamel inscribed '3', two tapped feet. Dot minute ring, vertical Arabic chapters.

HANDS: Gold, fine with polished with arrow heads.

BRASS EDGE: Gilt brass, top hat section, case springs on band. Top engraved, inside stamped '1803' and scratched '11803'. Cuvette engraved as above, with border to match band, also cart horses pulling a trace next to one hole and a pair of watch hands around the other. Inside scratched 'ho'. Three turn screws secure movement and three screws secure band in case.

CASE: Gold set with pearls and enamel. The front glass does not open. Body, bezel and back set with two rings of pearls, outer ring of small pearls between large pearls of inner ring. Body with HM 1796 with Duty Mark. The back (which is sprung out of the ring in back) has been engine turned gold under translucent blue enamel with applied gold decoration set with pearls. Back with Lion passant and maker's mark, incuse 'PD'. Rectangular pendant set with pearls below a plain section with pearls set on top of the knob, bow of red gold.
