Cylinder repeating watch, in gold enamelled case with chatelaine.
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Robt Atkins LONDON 2084', also engraved on table of cap. Balance cock with pierced and engraved table, mask at neck, polished steel end plate and diamond end stone, foot engraved. Polished steel balance. Engraved slide plate with silver regulation dial, radial Arabic figures 5 to 30. Pierced fusee iron post. Case bolt in brass edge, nib at side. Potance screwed to top plate. Repeating barrel plain, screwed to top plate. Pillar plate with four turned pillars. Third wheel recess. Fusee and chain, tangent set-up under barrel, barrel with one lip. Cynlinder escapement, brass 'scape wheel. Train planted clockwise. Runners with five pinions, governed by a depthing pinion. Runners planted anti-clockwise. Polished steel hammers, planted clockwise.
REPEATING WORK: 1/4 mechanism with chain representing rack. All or nothing lever operated by lever on repeating rack. Polished English work.
BRASS EDGE: Plain fixed by bayonet catches and one fixing screw. Touch piece.
CAP: Oval table engraved as above, winding pipe, regulation semi-circular aperture. Blued steel clip.
DIAL: White enamel on copper, three feet. Radial Arabic 5 minute figures, dotted minute ring, radial Roman chapters.
HANDS: Gold, beetle and poker.
BELL: Inscribed 'Drury' on the back.
INNER CASE: Gold, London HM 1777, maker's mark incuse 'PM' and 'TP' with pellet between in rectangular cameo with cut corners. Both stamped twice. 'TP' mark over 'PM' mark in one case. Body pierced and engraved, scene at pendant and mask at 6 o'clock position. Applied flower at end of pendant. Stirrup bow.
OUTER CASE (A): Gold with enamel. With slotted round rims to emit sound. Bezel and body chased with blue translucent enamel ring, over chasing, and white enamel dots. Back with translucent orange ring, over chased rings, around oval white enamel plaque, plaque painted in dark brown scene after 'Three nymphs distressing Cupid' (by William Ryland).
CHATELAINE (B): Gold, multi-chain with enamels en suite with case.
KEY: Crank with enamelled handle en suite with case.
