Very small verge watch, in gold and enamel case, decorated with diamonds.

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Vauchez A PARIS No 37777.' Balance bridge pierced and engraved, polished steel coquette. Plain fusee cock. Plain counter-potance. Brass balance. Silver regulation dial marked 'A' and 'R', plain blued steel hand. Plain turned fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt with conical end, in slot in plate, nib under dial. Adjustable potance. Counter potance with steel plate and adjusting screw. Pillar plate with four turned pillars, ring and tapered ends. Centre wheel recessed. Third wheel bar. Under dial, recessed. Fusee and chain, barrel with one lip, set-up click under dial. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise.

DIAL: White enamel on copper, gilt edge, counter enamel scored '5', three feet. Radial 5 minute Arabic numbers, ladder minute ring, dots at 5 minutes. Radial Roman chapters, inner ring, inscribed 'Vauchez' under XII and 'A. Paris' above VI. Winding hole at 1.45.

HANDS: Silver, pierced and set with diamonds.

CASE: Gold and enamel consular case. Bezel and body edge chased with enamelled pattern. Body with applied pattern of gold branches with enamelled leaves between sets of four silver set diamonds. Ring of lavender translucent enamel over engine turning, ring of diamonds set in silver, central matt circle with five arms of set diamonds with green enamel leaves between, and a central diamond. Bezel with ring of diamonds around glass. Inside body stamped at edge with incuse 'HG' under a crown. Cylindrical pendant, cheese shaped top with engraved lines at top and bottom. Oval stirrup bow.

OUTER CASE (A): Gilt, back and front with rings of red enamel. Back with recess for (missing) glass.
