Fancy dome case watch in the shape of a basket of flowers.
MOVEMENT: Unnamed cocked movement and dial. Balance cock, engraved regulation scale with 'AVANCE' and 'RETARD' alongside, polished steel end piece, rounded ruby end stone, polished steel regulator, friction tight. Brass balance. Jewelled escape cock, third and fourth wheel cock. Centre bridge. Barrel bridge with polished steel spring click at side, hung barrel. Case bolt under dial, nib under dial. Plate, holes for third, fourth wheel and hung barrel. Under dial, balance cock and balance are in a pivoted plate (for escapement adjustment), grained end piece for balance. Geneva type stop work on hung barrel, centre wheel above barrel. Cylinder escapement, steel wheel. Train planted clockwise.
BRASS EDGE: Chased edge, made from pillar plate of the original movement, cut away to accomodate under-dial cocks. Movement secured by two screws through the movement plate.
DIAL: White enamel on copper, counter enamel with painted '22', two feet with tapped ends. Ladder minute ring, triangles at quarters and three dots at 5 mins., vertical Arabic chapters, winding hole at 3 o'clock.
HANDS: Gold, spade ended hour, small ended minute.
CASE: Gold enamelled and set with pearls. Basket shaped case, edge chased, cover and body basket made with top and base lines of pearls, vertical stripes between, five of pearls with black and white enamel stripes between with chased gold. Handle of black enamel and chased gold with pearls at ends. Between basket and handle, a polychrome painted enamel panel of flowers against a blue background on cover, and on body a panel of fruit and leaves against blue background. Inside body stamped '2403'. Pendant wasted with global top, triangular bow, two rings.
STORAGE BOX (A): Rectangular box covered in blue velvet. On the inside, the lid is covered in silk with gilt stamp of crown over circle, lettering in circle 'WHITE & CAMPBELL 133, NEW BOND St. LONDON' at edge with 'T. WHITE/ FROM/ HUNT & ROSKELL/ LATE / STORR & MORTIMER'. in centre. Base with inclined shape for basket covered with velvet.
