Verge watch in later silver case. Typical Dutch movement

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement signed on back plate 'GERRIT RENSMAN ZWOLLE'. Large balance bridge with table pierced and chased, mask at bottom, semi circular balustrade at top with a spray of flowers in centre. Winding hole to left, short feet engraved with cross hatch pattern. Brass balance with three arms, two curved to miss winding square. Slide plate pierced and chased, with thin solid edge (covering all of the back plate above balance bridge). Silver regulating dial with outer scale marked 10, 20, 30, and 40 in Arabic figures. Silver ring around plate. Pierced and engraved fusee stop bracket, potance fixed with two screws through top plate. Counter potance riveted (two tapped and unused screws each side of counter potance in top plate). Pillar plate with four square baluster pillars, slot for case bolt. Scratched on pillar plate under the dial 'cft' or 'CH'. Hinge filed off. Fusee and chain, tangent set-up. Train planted clockwise.

BRASS EDGE: Plain, with hinge block.

DIAL: White enamel on copper. Ladder minute circle, short thin radial Roman chapters.

HANDS: Gold. Thin double diamond minute, replacement. Broken hour.

CASE: Silver, double-backed consular case. Dome marked on the inside London HM 1854. Case maker's mark incise 'IW'. Back with similar marks on the inside. Outside engine turned with central shield stamped in three lines 'H' over 'HAR' over 'DING'. Pendant spherical, with London HM 1853. Maker's mark 'rc' in rectangular cameo, on stem with milled ring. Ring bow.
