Description

Silver-gilt tea caddy, with chased decoration in Rococo style

Silver-gilt, with chased and flat-chased decoration. The tea caddy is rectangular with a moulded base, straight sides, and small curved shoulders. The cover is rectangular with sloping sides, a flat top, and a hinged wavy shell-shaped handle. The sides are decorated with chased asymmetrical Rococo scrolled and shellwork cartouches and sprays of flowers.
