Cup, saucer, and plate set commemorating the 1937 Coronation. Bone china, transfer printed in black and painted in blue, green, yellow, orange and dark pink enamel colours.
On the cup, the Coronation coach is going to the right, followed by a man on horseback and an Indian man, whose train is held by two Indian boys. Behind there are three crowned poles supporting bunting, and a banner inscribed 'LONG LIVE THE KING'. The rim is encircled by a blue band, and there is a blue stroke down the back of the handle.
The saucer is decorated with the Coronation coach going to the left, with a banner above inscribed 'CORONATION', surrounded by bunting with a trumpet at the top, and a blue flag charged with a crown. The rim is encircled by a blue band.
The plate is decorated with an open carriage going to the left, with a banner above inscribed 'CORONATION', and a similar border to the saucer.
