Tortoise-shell with miniature of a wicker basket of flowers

Tortoise-shell set with a miniature in watercolour and bodycolour on card, mounted under glass in gold. The rectangular box has slightly concave sides with gold rim mounts, a recessed hinge and chased thumbpiece. The rectangular miniature depicts a wicker basket of flowers including roses, delphiniums, tulips and lilies, on a marble slab.
