Tortoise-shell with oval miniature of an urn of flowers in a garden
Tortoise-shell with a miniature in bodycolour and watercolour on card, set under glass with a chased gilt metal mount. The circular box has slightly concave sides and an almost flat pull-off lid. The interior is lined with silver-gilt and set with silver-gilt rim mounts. The circular miniature depicts a carved stone urn of flowers including roses, delphiniums, and auriculas, in a garden with trees and a white painted fence in the background.
