Tortoise-shell with miniature of flowers, fruit, two birds and stone urn on a marble slab

Tortoise-shell set with a miniature in bodycolour and watercolour on card, mounted under glass in gilt metal. The circular box has straight sides and an almost flat pull-off lid with gilt metal rim mounts. The circular miniature depicts a chaffinch on a nest, a greenfinch, a spray of flowers, including roses, delphiniums and narcissi, with peaches, grapes and a stone urn on a marble slab.
