Of complex-oval shape, quatrefoil, with four pointed brackets, the rounded sides resting on a low tapered foot. Moulded and incised decoration on the well and sides, irrelevant to the painting. The interior is painted with two birds perched on prunus branches with chrysanthemum, peony and bamboo. Two asymmetrical panels with gold and red floral motifs reserved on a shiny black ground (bare in parts where the aubergine or colourless glaze was missed) and a further red panel with red and gilt floral motif. The rim is gilt. The reverse is decorated two prunus branches in red and gold. The base plain with four spur marks.
