Hard paste porcelain, painted underglaze in blue and overglaze in green, red, and brown enamels, and gold. Circular, with deep rounded sides, resting on a low tapering foot, the lip coated with brown glaze. The interior is carefully decorated with a naturalistic spray of chrysanthemum and a spray of peony with grass in blue with touches of green and red. "Cloud" reserves with marine motifs extend across the dish from the border. A double blue circle is superimposed over the design. The border has a diaper ground with a central cross. The reverse is covered with an elaborated scroll in blue outline and wash with double bobbles and ting flower heads, and on the footring there is a noughts and crosses border. Five spur marks.
