Soft-paste porcelain cup and saucer, decorated with Japanese pattern in underglaze blue scale-pattern ground, onglaze in red, blue and green enamels, and gilt.
Soft-paste porcelain cup and saucer, decorated with an underglaze blue scale-pattern ground, onglaze in red, blue and green enamels, and gilt. Circular cup of shallow rounded shape with a loop handle with kick terminal, standing on a low footrim. Painted with a Japan pattern in imitation of Imari porcelain, the blue-scale ground reserved with gilt-edged vase and larger shaped panels of the 'Wheatsheaf' pattern.
