Soft-paste porcelain teapot and cover, painted with geometrical patterns in underglaze in blue, and gilt.
Soft-paste porcelain teapot and cover, painted in underglaze blue, and gilt. The circular teapot has steep ogival sides, spirally fluted with 24 sections, on a low footring. It has a ribbed scrolled handle, and fluted spout. The low domed cover with fluted conical knob. The teapot is painted with a band of diamonds with central dots, linked by stylised leaves in underglaze blue and gilding, and with three flower sprigs on each side. The cover is decorated en suite.
