Soft-paste porcelain basket, moulded and painted with flowers underglaze in blue and onglaze in polychrome enamels, and gilt.
Soft-paste porcelain, moulded and painted underglaze in blue and onglaze in red, yellow, green, purple and pink enamels, and gilt. The quatrelobed oval basket has high honeycomb-moulded sides, each 'cell' outlined in yellow and enclosing a pink quatrefoil florette. The two stalk handles have applied naturalistically coloured narcissus flower and leaf terminals. The interior is painted with coloured flowers reserved within gilt rococo scroll-edged panels on a blue-scale ground. The cover (C.22-1931) and stand (C.21-1931) are painted en suite and the pierced sides are moulded with arcaded basketwork.
